After having spent several successive years in a handful of satisfying roles on stage, I chose to take a break from the footlights in 2006 to lead a talented team of publicists for our most ambitious production ever, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. It was truly a memorable and fulfilling experience for me, which I hope to duplicate when Anything Goes takes the stage this season.
As one member of a dedicated cast of WTG directors, it is a privilege to play a supporting role in what promises to be a bright future for community theatre in Webster – a role I would be honored to perform for many years to come. |
The Webster Theatre Guild welcomed me with open arms soon after I was cast in its 2005 production of Annie. A few months later, the WTG Board of Directors asked if I would consider serving the remainder of a term left vacant by our friend Joe Obbie -- Webster’s own Daddy Warbucks -- who passed away not long after the run of Annie. I humbly accepted. And while I knew it would be impossible to fill the shoes of such a great and talented man, I have relied on Joe’s passion for and vision of local community theatre to help guide me as I complete his term.
